Halfway through the Paseo del Prado, we find the Fountain of Neptune, which is in Canovas del Castillo Plaza.

In this square, we have many important landmarks of important touristic value, as two of the most important museums of art, as the Prado and the Thyssen Museums, two luxurious hotels with a long tradition, such as the Palace and the Ritz, the Stock Exchange Market of Madrid building, the “Casona del Buen Retiro”, which is part of the Prado Museum, the Congress of Deputies, the Retiro Park, and other key sites in central Madrid.

The photo above is taken from the Plaza de las Cortes, right in front of the Congress of Deputies building, located on a small hill, from where we see the Fountain of Neptune, and a little higher in the photo, we can see the Monastery of San Jeronimo el Real.

In this virtual tour, past the Neptune Fountain, and next to the Congress of Deputies and we continue our walking tour, down the Carrera de San Jerónimo towards the Plaza de Canalejas, and Puerta del Sol.
