Walking tour with our guide of the old town, the so-called “Madrid de los Austrias”, (Habsburgs Madrid), strolling along the Plaza Mayor, and walk down the Arco de Cuchilleros, and the winding streets around the Plaza de la Villa, core of the medieval Madrid, where the oldest buildings are.
The House and Tower of Lujanes, where the French king François I, was held prisioner. The Casa de Cisneros, Plateresque style, and the Casa de la Villa, the old Madrid City Council, and town hall, that was in this square until 2007, when it was moved to Cibeles.
After the walk through the old town, you will enjoy typical Spanish tapas.
A walking tour with our guide through the old quarters of the city, known as Madrid de los Austrias, (Habsburg dinasty) to see the impressive Plaza Mayor, and from there, walk down the stairs of Cuchilleros Arch, to Plaza de la Villa, center of medieval Madrid where we´ll see the oldest buildings.
Then we´ll see the great neoclassic building of the Cathedral of La Almudena, ending our visit in the beautiful Plaza de Oriente where the Royal Palace is located.
